Foundation stone laying ceremony of the last building of the “neurocampus” project
The December 1st, 2014 was a rainy Monday, but a day full of enthusiasm. It was the Foundation stone laying ceremony of the last building of the “neurocampus” project in presence of Mr Alain Rousset, President of the Aquitaine Region, and Mr Manuel Tunon de Lara, President of the Bordeaux University.
The erection of the long awaited building will finally allow our research teams to be located in one place, allowing quick and efficient interactions of our highly-skilled research teams.
Beyond the obvious comfort for work, the unity of place, not only of IMN but also proximity to our privileged partners, the Interdisciplinary Institute for Neuroscience and the Neurocentre Magendie, the scientific platforms, or the Brain’s house, will significantly accelerate the transition from basic science to applied science (definition of translation) considering the real needs of patients (clinical MN and Brain’s house).
The architectural complex will open in summer 2016. Its color is that of neuroscience, its field: “therapies of tomorrow”, its trump card: multiple disciplines, its strength: synergy, and its visibility is European and international.
