Tribute to Giselle Charron
It is with sadness that we learned about the disappearance of Giselle Charron, former Professor Assistant at the University of Bordeaux.
Very involved in the teaching of Histology in our Faculty of Medicine, she has participated for many years in the teaching and practice of medical students. This commitment to students and pedagogy extended through an institutional commitment within the Council of Studies and Academic Life. In terms of research, after this work on delayed ovo-implantation in the laboratory of Professor René Canivenc, she had joined the laboratory of Professor Bertrand Bloch and the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases where her work focused on the study of dopamine receptors and the pathophysiology of Parkinson’s disease.
We will all remember the memory of a generous and endearing person and send to Alain her husband, Emilie and Anne her daughters, our sincere condolences.
